Kelly Brock was named Assistant Director of the Thornton Center in June 2008. Brock's responsibilities include overseeing counseling at the Thornton Center and advising women's volleyball and men's basketball.
Prior to Tennessee, Brock served as an Assistant Director at DePaul University and academic advisor at the University of Central Florida. In addition, Brock is involved with the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics where she serves on the Board of Directors. She has served as a committee chair, regional director, mentor and presenter at both regional and national conventions. Also, Brock received the Professional Promise Award in 2007 and graduated from the Professional Development Institute - Leadership Track.
Brock earned her bachelor's degree from Florida State University and her master's degree from Michigan State University. She intends to pursue a Ph.D. in education at Tennessee. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and running distance races.
