The Lady Vol Salute to Excellence auctions off some great items like Official Lady Vol apparrel, Great sports memorbilia, Exciting Hollywood memorbilia, Engaging speakers, and late night dinner and dancing with the Lady Vol coaches, administratrators, and student-athletes.

It's that time of year again to mark your calendars! The 21st Annual Salute to Excellence is set for Friday, January 16, 2009 at the Knoxville Convention Center. Invitations will be mailed in November and we do not want you to miss out on this great event! Call the Lady Vol Development office at 865-974-5197 and we will add your name to the invite list. This year's event will include a Live and Silent auction featuring exclusive items such as Lady Vol gear and tag-a-long trips with Lady Vol teams, just to name a few.

The annual Salute to Excellence fund raiser, which benefits the Lady Vol Scholarship Fund, is a black tie and tennis shoes event. The evening begins with a 200 item silent auction and cocktail reception; guests are then served dinner and treated to a short program. A fantastic live auction follows the program and the evening wraps up with entertainment provided by one of Knoxville's favorite local bands. Tickets are $150 per guest and all proceeds go directly to the Lady Vol Scholarship Fund, which helps to bring the best student-athletes from throughout the country to UT. There are also co-host opportunities and corporate sponsorships available, for those interested.
